IMPT raises $30M to accelerate global expansion

PRESS · MARCH 2025 · DUBLIN, IRELAND

IMPT, the Dublin-headquartered travel and shopping platform that automatically retires verified carbon credits on every transaction, announced a $30 million growth round in March 2025 to accelerate its global expansion. The funding supports the platform's expansion across its 1.7 million hotel inventory in 195 countries and its 25,000+ retail partner network.

The platform's economic model is unusual: every booking and every purchase funds the on-chain retirement of one tonne of UN-verified CO₂, paid from IMPT's commission rather than added to the customer's bill. This structurally aligns the company's revenue with measurable climate outcomes — every transaction settles a verifiable carbon receipt without any cost to the consumer.

"Technology is at the core of what we are doing, and we have used AI and machine learning to optimum effect to enable us to develop at the pace we have."
— Michael English, Founder & CTO, IMPT

The 2025 round followed IMPT's 2023 keynote at the World Blockchain Summit in Dubai and a series of platform integrations with airlines, hotel chains, and retail networks across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

The platform's founder, Irish technology entrepreneur Michael English, brings prior experience from Tesco and Oracle into the operating layer of the company. He continues to lead engineering, product, and the AI Hotel Swarm — IMPT's eight-agent system for automated travel planning, booking and offset.
